Additional Delphi SA10112 FM Direct Adaptor Information
|
The adapter takes the signal from the wireless FM modulator that's built into the SKYFi2, MyFi, and Roady2 receivers, and sends it to your car's radio via its antenna jack, so the signal from the XM receiver can be heard over an unused FM frequency. You'll enjoy better sound quality through this direct connection.

What Customers Say About Delphi SA10112 FM Direct Adaptor:

Hard wiring will always give you a better signal and receive less interference. With the cigarette lighter adapter, you can tuck all the wires into the dash for a clean look.
My Roady was better and overpowed the local radio stations. I live in the Miami/Ft. I used it for my Infiniti QX4 with a Skyfi3. The direct connect provided a good clear uninterupted connection. Lauderdale area and finding a clear station was impossible. The Skyfi3 has a weak fm modulator. I had to buy 2 antenna adapters for my Infiniti/Nissan factory Stereo. It works great & I highly recommend it.
Product works very well. Better than Delhpi's FM Sureconnect. You do have to have a basic understanding of how to wire devices into a vehicle, but this product performs very well.
It is easy to hook up and does just what it says it does. If you shut off XM to move back to over the air radio, there is a 10-15 second delay for it to shut off. That is the only complaint I have about it.
When this was installed, it was 100% better. Just installed this product today. No adapter connections were needed with the 2005 Honda Pilot stock CD player. Tried out the normal FM modulator with the Audiovox Xpress. Worst FM reception I have had with any modulator. Still not CD clear but wouldn't expect it with an XM receiver that was not truly hard wired in via and aux input or XM receiver built into the CD player. Not a real difficult install. Had to yank out the CD player and a few other dash items to wire and connect everything.
